70.3 World Champs - Happy times, frustrating racing

Firstly...Thanks to all of you who have been giving great support out in Florida and back at home!



So, I am sitting back at my girlfriend's in Oxford after a long journey home from Florida. What kind of a trip did I have??



Similar to last year, where I managed to puncture just out of T1, (aaaaaah), I have come home with an overwhelming sense of frustration for having not achieved what I feel I should have done.

Sunday saw me out racing for the first time in a while with the Henley Half Marathon. I decided, like most of the run races that I do at the moment, to make it a bike-run brick session which involved me riding to the event from Oxford, a good 30miles. Hey mate, sorry to hear about clearwater, nothing worse than a sore back on the bike.

I'm not really one for skype eithr as for some reason the sound doesn't work on my laptop? I can't even remember my username! but I will dig it out.

Always space in the flat- We have a new roomie in th spare room but frase will be away so whenever your free just head up- You guys r going to SA yeah? I will b there in Jan for 3 weeks- can't wait!

Well I actually feel pretty good after getting home. I had to sit next to the fattest, drunk american on the flight home. I nearly hung myself with the seatbelt.

hi, probably flying around the 27th, looking forward to the rest on flight, training is killing me!!!

Best flights are with delta that i can see!!

Considering spending a day in NYC after the race before flying back, do you know if they have anywhere at airport to leave bikes/ bags?

can you recommend any airlines in the US, what are the bike fees like?

Delta have the best prices and times but no idea what they are like with bikes?
